I have lived in Madrid (Spain), Irvine(California, USA), New York City (NY, USA), Geneva (Switzerland), Ra’anana, near Tel Aviv (Israel) and London (UK). I am living in Jersey City now, across the Hudson river to Manhattan.
I like to play the piano, at about ~ABRSM 8 level, working on DipABRSM.
- I’m interested in chamber music collaborations, violin duos, so if you’re into that hit me up!
I enjoy calisthenics to keep my body in shape. I recently hit a plateau there so I moved to a personal trainer - we’ll see how that goes.
I’m always down to hit the slopes once the snow sports season has started
I’m currently learning Mandarin Chinese. My main motivation is being able to communicate with my partner’s family and friends.
Some things I’ve taken seriously in the past, but had to “deprioritize” include:
- Boxing - used to spar as a light-welterweight. Had to choose between this and weight training (through calisthenics), not enough time in my life for both. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope some day I can get back to it.
- Japanese日本語 (~N4) - lost motivation, and I do have a very strong motivation for Chinese as my partner’s a native. Actually, learning Japanese has helped me tremendously with learning Chinese characters, and I still remember enough to enjoy some content and not feel completely lost in the country. Also, it’s a fun conversation starter.
- Competitive dancing games - I met a lot of people through Dance Dance Revolution and **In the Groove.** It’s the one thing that brought the most relationships into my life, made me met a lot of people, and I really enjoyed. I ranked #2 in Spain consistently for many years, but it requires a time investment I don’t want to make right now.
- Football - like every other kid in Spain, I played with an amateur team.
Sometimes I give talks.
I’ve done a bunch of things
